SWEP Summer Camps: A Journey into Nature and Environmental Stewardship
Our SWEP Junior Explorers summer camps are designed to inspire the next generation of environmental stewards by offering children the opportunity to connect with the natural world in a fun, engaging, and educational way. Through hands-on science experiments, interactive games, creative art projects, and exciting outdoor adventures, campers will explore the beauty and complexity of our local ecosystems.
Based out of our cozy 30-foot yurt at the trailhead of Tahoe Cross Country (Dollar Hill / Tahoe City), our camp provides the perfect base for daily excursions into the surrounding forests, creeks, and streams. Each day is filled with outdoor exploration, where children will have the chance to observe wildlife, learn about plant species, test water quality, and develop a deep appreciation for the natural environment.
